콜렉티브 ❞❝ 은 1996년생 여성 작가 4인(김혜리, 이혜원, 진해인, 함수지)이 결성한 창작 집단으로, 동시대 젠더 감각과 여성적 서사를 다양한 시각언어로 탐구한다. 서로 다른 경험과 정체성이 교차하는 지점에서 ‘몸’, ‘기억’, ‘감정’을 재해석하며, 연대의 가능성을 모색한다. 콜렉티브의 이름 "❞❝ "은 모두 1996년에 태어난 사실에서 영감을 받았다. 밀레니얼 세대의 끝자락과 Z세대의 경계에 위치한 우리는 페미니즘, 기술, 그리고 두 세대가 교차하며 느끼는 혼란 속에서 형성된 독특한 시각을 공유한다.

Introducing our Collective ❞❝  . Collective ❞❝  is a creative group formed by four female artists born in 1996 (Haerri Kim, Hyewon Mia Lee, Hayne Jin, Suzy Ham), exploring contemporary gender sensibilities and female narratives through diverse visual languages. At the intersections of our differing experiences and identities, we reinterpret “the body,” “memory,” and “emotion,” while seeking possibilities for solidarity. The name of our Collective, "❞❝“, is inspired by the fact that we were all born in 1996. Positioned between the tail end of the millennial generation and the cusp of Generation Z, this unique placement shapes our perspective on the world. Our shared identity is defined by a complex blend of progressive views on feminism, influenced by both our homogeneous origins and the global cultural influx we’ve experienced through technology.

‘신바람’은 고립된 작가들의 생존형 오프 더 레코드(off the record)이다. 음성과 시각 자료에 집중하며, 온라인 형태로 일상적인 대화를 지속적으로 주고받는다. 대화의 방식은 주제를 선정해 토론하는 형태와, 각자의 작업을 수렴해 하나의 맥락으로 이어보는 협력의 형태로 나뉜다. 회사가 아닌 개인의 비영리적 목적으로 모인 이들에게 이 시간은 일상의 친구나 동료 관계와는 명확히 구별된다. 그것은 곧 ‘기록’이다. 신바람의 관계에는 기록이라는 데이터가 존재한다. 정해진 시각에 접속해 각자의 생각과 이야기를 문서화한다. 신체는 물리적으로 떨어져 있지만, ‘신바람’의 대화 속에는 각자의 세계관이 실재한다. 이러한 기록이 반복되고 시간이 쌓여 문화로 확장된다면, 인터넷과 컴퓨터만으로도 ‘신바람’과 같은 비물질적 형태는 작가들에게 하나의 인큐베이터가 될 것이다.

'Shinbaram' is an off-the-record collective formed by isolated artists who sustain ongoing online conversations through voice and visual exchanges. The group explores collaborative ways of connecting individual practices into shared contexts while documenting each dialogue as a living record. Through these accumulative archives, Shinbaram functions as an immaterial incubator for artists, expanding into a cultural form shaped by time and connection.
